- Confirm the door or lid is locked Most washers refuse to fill at all unless the door or lid reports locked, as a safety interlock. Close it firmly, listen for the lock engaging, and restart the cycle. If it fills once the lock catches, the fill circuit was never the problem.
- Check the inlet hose screens The small mesh screens where the fill hoses connect to the machine catch sediment and debris, and a clogged screen chokes the fill down to a trickle or nothing at all. Pull the hoses and clean them out — this alone solves a real share of no-fill and slow-fill complaints.
